Masudul Hoque is a seasoned journalist with over two decades of experience in the field. Since 2002, he has been serving as a Special Correspondent for United News of Bangladesh (UNB), covering key government ministries and affairs at the Secretariat. His reporting spans various critical sectors, including education, telecommunications, ICT, BRTC, civil aviation & tourism, environment, commerce, shipping, LGRD, public administration, cabinet division, health, home affairs, and expatriate welfare affairs. With nearly 17 years of dedicated coverage in these areas, he has established himself as a trusted voice in political and policy journalism.

Beyond his journalistic work, Masudul Hoque holds several leadership positions in professional organisations. He is currently the General Secretary of both the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF) and Reporters for Bangladeshi Migrants (RBM), as well as the Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Climate Change Journalist Forum (BCJF). Additionally, he is a permanent member of several prestigious journalist associations, including the National Press Club, Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), the Association of Technology and Tourism Journalists of Bangladesh (ATJFB), the Education Reporters Association of Bangladesh (ERAB), Food & Disaster Management Reporters Forum, the Urban Development Journalist Forum of Bangladesh (UDJFB), and the Health Journalists of Bangladesh.
