CBERDimitra Gounari

Dimitra Gounari is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts at the University of West Attica, Greece, and a secondary education teacher specialising in Applied Arts. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University, Greece. She also serves as an accredited examiner for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in Visual Arts.

Her research and artistic practice focus on contemporary photography, artistic pedagogy, environmental aesthetics, and practice-based research. She actively participates in international academic conferences and art exhibitions, writes scholarly and critical texts, and curates visual art and educational projects. Her artistic work has received international recognition and awards and is included in public and private collections.
